Gibson Gone Too Long

There is no excuse, I have been neglecting my blog and my loyal follwers. For this, I must apologize. So much has happened in the last four months. My last blog was Month 5, and today, I am 9 months old.

I am crawling, crawling, crawling, started at 6 months. I also pull up, but not walking yet. Why do I need to learn to walk when I am a super fast crawler? I can stand for a few seconds on my own.

My 12 month old jammies fit me. My 9 month old jammies are too short. I am still too skinny for my 6 month old pants. I need elastic.

Stacey M. babysits me and is also my own personal stylist. She does some crazy stuff to my hair with Aveda she is all about ALL NATURAL! I need a hair cut.

I love going for stroller rides down to the park where I have done some swinging. I do not care for the geese at the park. They are loud, I wish Casey would chase them away, but she is always on a leash.

I am teething and it HURTS! I have one bottom tooth peeking out. I think several more are about to break through to the other side.

I still love shoes. The closet in Mommy and Daddy's room is a magical place with so many treasures.

I love the dinner rolls at Nancy's Steakhouse. Refried beans are also supper yummy. Fruit baby food is my favorite. Green beans are nasty. Yuck.

I say a lot of jibber jabber, but no mama or dada yet. Mommy has started reading to me more. I think she is worried about my secret language.

I love bath time and pool time. I also make a beeline for the water bowl, but Mommy and Daddy usually get there faster and put it out of my reach.

I love the remotes and cell phones. Once I learn a language older people understand, I need my own iPhone.

Grandma CC and Grandma Debbie babysit me most weekends and I love love love them. My Auntie Lee Ann is busy with campaign season so she can't visit too often, but she says things will be better after November. I see Great Grandma Kay at Mommy's office.

I've had many visitors and pool parties since my last post. GOOD TIMES! I've been to Rockport, Lake LBJ, and Port Alto for some fun in the sun with friends. Don't worry, Mom and Dad lather me up with sunscreen.

I loved my stuffed furry friends, but I love my live furry friends even more. They are so cute. Although, I am sick of Mango taking over my pack n play!

Pretty soon, I am going to be ready for my big boy car seat. Mommy is taking me to the doctor tomorrow for my nine month check up.

I promise to blog again soon. I know I left a lot out, but I just can't remember it all.

Month 5, It's True, I am AWESOME

Month Five has been a crazy busy one. I figured I better get this blog out before I am the big 0-6. So, here is the run down for my life since my last blog.

My parents bought me a new house, how awesome are they!?! I wonder what they will do my first birthday? That pony option is looking pretty promising. Although, I overheard my Mommy and Daddy talking about not spoiling me. I was like, WHAT!?! I so want to be spoiled.

Anyway, I love new room. It is larger than my old one with room for all my "friends" to be on display. I am also digging the pool. Mommy, Daddy and I have been swimming. I love the froggie float the VanGilders got me. I am able to just chill, catch some rays and relax after a hard day. Hey, I have a lot going on, I get tired. Everyone needs their "ME TIME."

DADDY GRADUATED! It was AWESOME! I am so proud of him. My Daddy the Doctor. It sure does have a nice ring to it. I went to UT for the first time, and that school is crazy cool. Mommy and I watched Daddy walk across the stage. Mommy was VERY HAPPY! I think she was almost as happy as Daddy. It was a great day.

Now, that Daddy is working and Mommy is working, I need someone to help take care of me during work hours. Jordan C. is my babysitter and she is pretty awesome. She takes good care of me so Daddy can get people their drugs (legal drugs, just say NO), and Mommy can sell some houses.

I have been to the bay twice since my last post, and I had a blast with everyone including the other little people that were able to join me. The Claxtons and Beasleys went with us on Memorial Day. Misty is growing a friend for me and he or she should be here around Halloween. Then, the Grays went down with us and they have a little boy, Colton. He was fun, we played in the kiddie pool together. I didn't get to go on the boat, maybe next time. Come on, parental units, I am BIG enough and I have a life jacket. Whats the problem?

We have also had a pool party and there were lots of little people for me to hang with, and I had a BLAST! The Keevers came to stay with me, and I had a lot of fun with them and Kaylee Poe. I met so many wonderful people. I think they liked me. :o) I love making new friends.

There has been so much that has been going on since my last blog, but you know...I don't want to bore my audience.

A summary...

I can crawl, and I am quite the mover. Mommy puts a blanket down for me, but I am off of it and exploring in no time.

I can sit up on my own. Pretty cool.

I love the pool, bath time, and am a total water baby.

My hair is now blonde instead of brown.

I love petting those furry things that hang out on my level.

I am not sure about solid food. I don't really like it.
I can flip out of my Bumbo seat. I so scared Mommy.

I still hate my car seat, I want to be free.

It is 10:30 and way past my bedtime...

Month Four, It was a good one!

Since my last blog, my travels across Texas have continued. I went to Midland to visit my buddy, Aunt Misty, and meet my Uncle Jimmy. Aunt Misty and Uncle Jimmy are having a baby! So soon, I will have a little play mate. I sure hope they move closer so we can hang out more, hint hint. We are all going to the bay Memorial Day Weekend, and I am so EXCITED.

While in Midland, I went to my first baseball game. It was so FUN except for the train horn. I was totally watching the game, just chilling, and then out of nowhere, this obnoxious train horn would sound. It really scared me. Uncle Jimmy bought me my first baseball game shirt so that was nice of him, almost made up for the horn.

In fact, I am excited about a lot of things that are going to happen in May. I am getting a new house because I am such a good boy. My friends, Donna and Derek VanGilder have already gotten me floaties for the pool. My room is bigger so I have more room for all my toys.

I went to see Doctor Rob for my four month check up. I am one healthy boy. I weigh 13.15 lbs and I am 26 1/2 inches long. I am very tall for my age, but a little skinny. Grandma CC is trying to remedy this by feeding me cereal mixed with bananas and formula. I am not sure what to do with it yet, but I am trying. Anyway, I have super model, long legs, thanks to my Daddy. I think Mommy is a little jealous.
Daddy is my favorite playmate. He is so FUN! We play airplane all the time, and we dance.

I am really starting to explore this big bad world. I am now paying a little more attention to those furry things that run around my house, one is much bigger than me and the other is just about my size, but much harrier.

I hate the office. Mommy doesn't pay attention to me, and I don't have very many toys there. GG Kay has been watching me at her house while Mommy is at the office. I like it there, we go outside and I watch the birds. I even have my own crib. Auntie Heather has also been baby sitting me while Mommy works. AUNT Lee Ann babysits me so Mommy can go get that baby weight off at the gym. And of course, Grandma CC and Grandma Debbie come up as much as they can on the weekends.

Mommy said she is very lucky to have so many people to help her. Personally, I think it is because I am so charming. I mean, if I was a bad baby, no one would want to babysit me.

Daddy is studying, studying, studying, but he is almost done with this thing called school. Mommy and Daddy are very excited about something called graduation this month. SO much is happening.

My legs now reach in my play gym.

I don't really like my swing unless I am really tired.
I am drooling A LOT, it is a little embarrassing.
I still sleep all night, and I love my crib.

I am really really trying to crawl, I am almost there.

I like my Bumbo seat.

I can pull myself up to a sitting position, but I need a little back up.

My favorite thing is to be held and walked around.

I hate my car seat! But, its the law!

Changes! Changes! Changes!

Everything is changing! I am changing. I have grown so much since my last post, and I am able to use so many more of my fabulous toys and contraptions. I love my jumpy doorway thingy. And, I love my play gym that Lynn and Rob gave me. At first, my feet wouldn't touch, but already in one week, they do! AMAZING!

Rolling over is absolutely no problem. In fact, some say I excel at it. I am really working on this crawling thing, but I can't seem to get any traction on these wood floors. I am still talking and sometimes I sing, but still getting the confused/blank stares from Mommy, Daddy and all those other big people that are always around me.

While I once loved my car seat, I have very little patience for it now. I want to MOVE. It is too confining. I sleep in my own room every night, and I sleep 8-10 hours a night. Some say, I am a perfect baby, but I try not to let it go to my head.

Something very sad has happened since my last post. My Great-Grandfather Lowe passed away. I am so sad I was not able to meet him. I did attend his viewing and funeral with Daddy. It was my first church experience, and there was all this singing. Once the singing stopped, I kept going, but I was the only one. It was a little embarrassing for me, but no one told me to stop. Hello! I need these things explained to me.

Since my last post, Mommy and Daddy have decided to buy a new house. I love my house now, but there will be more room to move in the new one. We walk by the house almost every day. It is across town, and Aunt Lee Lee is a little sad about us not being next door, but she is really excited about Mommy having a pool. I don't know what the big deal is about having a pool, but I am told there will be a lot of fun times in it this summer and for summers to come. Mommy is a little worried, and she is talking about lessons and alarms a lot.

Easter was FUN! We went to Uncle Dusty's house in Rosenberg and as usual, I got lots of attention. Before going to Uncle Dusty's, the Easter Bunny dropped off an Easter Basket for me. I think Grandma CC had something to do with this. Don't tell her though, she thinks I am fooled, but I know whats up.

I went to El Campo and visited Great Grandpa and Grandma Hill. I also met my Cousin Keith.

I went to a BIG BIRTHDAY PARTAY for my Great Grandma Kay. It totally freaked me out! There were so many big people, and they kept getting in my personal space. I know they just wanted to meet me, but it was a little overwhelming. It was just so LOUD and I am usually pretty cool about these things, but you guys got to understand, I am not even four months old. This lady named Nancy stole me for a while, and I snuggled up to her and that was nice. Once the party thinned out, I was able to hang out with my Port Alto Cousins, the Spencer Clan.

I still go to the office quite a bit where Great Grandma Kay, Jennifer M. and Heather help take care of me while Mommy works. Grandma Charlene and Grandma Debbie come to Bastrop to see me almost every weekend and help take care of me. I have bath time every day, and I love it. I am such a big boy, I already wear 6 month old clothes.

Since my last blog...

I am really trying to crawl.

I sleep all night in my own room.

I do not like to hang out in my car seat.

I love walks, but only when I am carried or strapped to Daddy's chest.

I wonder what these furry things are that live with me.

Jumpers and gyms are fun.

I love to stand with assistance.

My Bumbo chair is super cool.

I still love my swing, but only when I am tired.

I want to MOVE MOVE MOVE, GO GO GO!

The BIG 0-3!

Hello! Hello! Hello! I have hit a milestone in my short but eventful life, I am at the three month mark. Thats right! I am a quarter of a year old. Since my last post, I have been on the go, go, go! But, what else is knew, right???

I finally got to see Port Alto! I am told by Mommy and Daddy that we will have a lot of fun there this summer, something about a baby pool, the beach, and boat rides. Unfortunately, it was raining then very windy, but I got the idea.

I went to Wharton, Texas. This is where Mom and Dad graduated from High School. I went to a baby shower, but I was confused by all the pink clothes and gifts. Aren't all baby showers for me? I don't have any pink clothes, and while real men wear pink, I am not going to confuse the masses. Anyway, I met more cousins at the baby shower. It was fun and other babies were there too including my buddy, Lauren. She is the baby I have spent the most time with. And guess what!?! Lauren goes to the bay too...I see some baby pool time in our future. I am about 6 months younger than Lauren, but she doesn't seem to mind, Cougar Baby.
I also went to Hinze's BBQ with Gma Debbie, Mom and Dad. I was told it was very yummy.

I also met most of my bay cousins. We stopped by Louise on the way back to the bay and met the Crowell Clan. That was super fun. Cassidy and Claire gave me so much attention. They fed me and held me. I think they thought I was a very life like doll. Alexis was more interested in her cat, Croaker, but I will win her over...just give me time. They gave me a couple of stylin outfits! John, Rebecca and Claire gave me a swim suit for the bay. Rebecca, Dale, Alexis and Cassidy gave me a super cute guitar outfit. It was a very nice visit, and I can't wait to hang out with them at the bay as well.

I also met my next door bay cousins, and yes, they are my cousins as well as bay neighbors. I met Gene, Veda, Sherry and Spencer. They loved me, I can't wait for all these fun times that are in my near future. I even have my own crib at the bayhouse. I think it is only a matter of time until I get my own room, I wonder if Aunt Lee Lee would mind? YAY! Port Alto, Are you ready for Gibson Lee?!?

I also went to a GRI class with Mommy for four whole days. It is a real estate designation course where Mommy learns how to be a better Realtor. I already think she is awesome, but maybe, I am a little biased. Anyway, I was really good during the class. I know I had to be so she could learn more and hopefully sell more house which equals more toys for me! I liked school, as long as I get plenty of nap time.

Yesterday, my Grandpa Steve came to visit with Grandma CC. It was Steve's bday and we had fajitas and ritas on the back patio. Aunt Lee Lee was there as well. We went for a walk and it was so much fun.

A brief overview...
I am smiling and laughing all the time.
I am still talking, but I am still not understood. I have even tried to shout out my language, but no one gets it.

I can now roll over on to my tummy.

I like to do the super man, on my own and when Daddy and I play airplane.

I like to grab my frog toys and most of the time, I like to put them in my mouth.

I like to put my whole hand in my mouth.
I still love love love my swing.

I am sleeping all night.

TTFN!

Two and a Half Months so Far...

I am so sorry I haven't been able to update you all on my recent adventures. I have been so busy. In fact, I am really busy for a baby...so much to see, so much to do in this new world. So, the question isn't what have I been up to, it is what haven't I been up to since my last blog.

Well, I have already gone to two conferences and stayed in two hotels, one in Fort Worth and one in Houston.

The Fort Worth adventure was the annual RE/MAX of Texas Convention, I went to an awards dinner, and I was very good. I was definitely the youngest there. I watched Mommy walk across the stage to get her award. Great Grandma Kay and Heather helped take care of me.

The Houston adventure was for the Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference, and I hardly ever saw Mommy at this one. When I did see her, she was always dressed in white which is strange because she usually wears black. I did get to go to the dinners where I learned a lot about my country. I also met lots of nice ladies, and I hate to brag, but I am going to anyway. I think I was a total HIT! All the ladies smiled and talked to me. They all wanted to hold me, and they even found my bottle and announced my name in front of everyone.

My Great Grandma Kay took really good care of me while Mommy worked the conference. My Aunt Lee Ann came to help out as well, and we spent some quality time together.

I really missed Daddy while we were gone. We play A LOT! He is so funny.

My Grandmothers, Grandma Charlene and Grandma Debbie come to see me almost every weekend so Mom and Dad can spend some time together. I love seeing them, they are so sweet to me and give me their FULL attention. I think I might be getting a little spoiled. It is ok though, I am already thinking of ways to use this to my advantage...I bet I could score a pony one day...

I am totally holding my head up on my own, and I am working on holding that bottle, but I don't quite have it down yet. I like to stand up with just a little of assistance. I smile a lot! I also try to communicate, but I do not think people understand my language. I like to pull up my shirt to show off my awesome abs.

Places I have been/Things I have done since my last blog...

I met Great Grandma Lowe as well as my cousins and Great Uncles
I have been to Houston twice
I have been to Fort Worth
I met my cousin, Shannon Kay
I have stayed in two hotels

I have been on many walks with Casey
I have met Kindal, Wyatt and Baby Kiele
I have been on a Realtor tour
I have shown houses
I have been to meetings for CAC
I have been to Anytime Fitness
I have slept in my crib for an entire night, in my own room like a big boy
I have rolled off the couch, it is all right, I am ok, and Mommy has learned her lesson

Mommy is still working on sending out my announcements, she needs to hurry up...must I do everything.

All in One Month

First of all, to all my loyal fans, I apologize for taking so long to post a new blog. I have been a man about town and in addition to all my adventures, I have also been spending a lot of time, eating, sleeping, and growing. There is something else I do a lot, but I don't think I should really write about it.
I have had so many visitors and met so many great people. I have spent afternoons at RE/MAX where I get to see my Great Grandmother a lot which is super cool for me. I try not to cry too much when I am there since Mom is trying to get work done.
I took a road trip to Wharton County. Mom and Dad are from Wharton so I got to experience Tiger Territory. I met two more sets of Great Grandparents, Grandpa and Grandma Hohensee and Grandpa and Grandma Hill. Mom took pictures, but they were on the camera that some sorry person stole out of her car. Lets not talk about it, it makes me sad. Anyway, I just have one more set of Great Grandparents to meet, Grandpa and Grandma Lowe, hoping to see them in the next month or so.

Grandma Debbie and Grandma Charlene have both visited me and helped Mom and Dad by babysitting me. I have been a sweet little angel for them cause I am such a good boy. I love my Grandmas. My Aunt Lee Ann comes over about every other day to see me. I love her too. I miss my Uncle Dusty, I hope he can come visit soon.

Misty came to see me all the way from Midland. She is super sweet and we had a lot of fun together. I got to meet her sisters, but I was a little confused because they all look alike. We did lots of fun stuff while she was here, we went over to the Claxtons for dinner (where so many cute girls want to hold me), the outlet mall in Round Rock where I got some new totally cool outfits, and ZTejas for dinner.

I had my first professional photo shoot. The pictures should be in this week. So excited about seeing those, Mom keeps talking about trying to get my announcements ordered and out, I have no idea what she is talking about.

There is so much to write about, and I have had so met so many great people that there is just too much for my little fingers to type so I thought I would try and summarize whats been happening in my world.

First Mall Trip
Dinner at ZTejas (twice)
Misty visited
Dinner and Guitar Hero at the Claxtons
Went to Wharton to see Great Grandparents
A couple of walks around Bastrop
Cody, Michelle, and Conner visited
Went to Avery McKay, met those lovely ladies
Met Cousins, Carolyn, Clay, Leigh Ann
Photo shoot
Two week check up, Healthy! YAY!
Fundraising meeting for CAC
Bowling at Realtors Night Out
Watched American Idol with Mom and Dad

There is more, but I can't remember it all. Still working on developing that short term memory. Hoping it won't be so long before my next post.

Week 2

What a busy week! I showed houses, had visitors, experienced Chon Som, and went to my first Longhorn game watching party. Kaylee and Janna came to visit me and to help Mommy. I enjoyed having another kiddo in the house. Kaylee enjoyed playing in my room and playing with me. She showed me where my ears, nose and eyes are in a fun little game we played.

One day, we went into Austin so Mommy could show a house then we headed to Chon Som for Thai food. Yes, I know, I am so cultured for a new born. :o) At Chon Som, I met more friends including some other little guys, Ronan and Kevin. I was the youngest, but that didn't seem to matter. I think we will be good friends. I had a lot of fun!

Thursday night we went to the Claxton's to watch the Longhorns play in the National Championship game. I was decked out in full Longhorn gear thanks to my friends and neighbors, the Van Gilders. There was a lot of yelling, but I was ok with it because everyone wanted to hold and cuddle me including my little pal, Taylor.

I met Todd and Gabi for the first time. I remember hearing about Todd, he was always giving Mommy a hard time about going to the gym. I am told we will be returning to the gym in a month or so and Todd is going to help watch me...thats what he gets for being so hard on Mommy. Gabi was super sweet and she held me too. I enjoyed meeting them.

Other than that, I have been eating, eating, eating...Mommy calls me her little hungry hippo. And, I have been sleeping and making lots of dirty diapers. Typical baby stuff...

Wow! This was a busy week...I wonder what will happen next week...stay tuned.

My Birth

Hello All! Please allow me to introduce myself. I am the first born child of Jason and Zia Lowe, and so far I am living up to their expectations. I was born on December 29, 2009 at 12:12 pm. I weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and was 21.5 inches long. I was born with a full head of brown hair, not red. So far, my hair is straight, but so was Mom's when she was born. My eyes are blue, but you know, those could change. I am a good baby even if I do say so myself. I only cry when I need something. I am not a whiner. My only problem is that I would rather sleep all day and stay up all night. I have already had many visitors and have received a LOT of Attention. I am trying not to let it go to my head, but I am thinking I am sort of a Big Deal in Bastrop. Plus, I am the first grandson, first nephew, etc.

My Daddy is the one that came up with my first name. I hope you all like it, if you don't, please don't tell me because it would hurt my feelings. My middle name is Lee, it is a family name on both sides of my family. My Grandfathers passed away before I was born, and both of their middle names were Lee. In addition to being named after Mom and Dad's Dads, my Aunt's name is Lee Ann, my Uncle's name is Dusty Lee, my other Grandfather's name is Stephen Lee, and my Great Great Grandmother's name was Bennie Lee.

My Mom and Dad love me a lot. I can already tell. Today, Daddy started back to school so I was alone with Mommy most of the day. I tried to take it easy on her and we had a good day. She took me to RE/MAX Bastrop Area so that I could meet her office family, and my Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather Ben were there as well.

More to come, I am hungry so I am off to find Mommy.
